Christian media group, Christian Press Association of Nigeria (CPAN), has announced its monthly meeting for the month of October.
In a release made available to Newswatch Times, convener of the group, Gracious Akintayo, urged members to turn up for the meeting.
“This is a strong appeal, to kindly consider, in spite of our schedule and other engagement, plan, pray and prepare to attend the next meeting of our dear association,” Akintayo said.
The meeting, holding on Thursday 29th October 2015 is scheduled for Spootlink complex, opposite WAEC office, Ogba, Lagos by 11am.
According to Akintayo, the agenda of the meeting include, to review past activities and chart a way forward. Other items on the agenda include honouring one of the group’s founding members; Jackson Ekwugum’s elevation and to also to pay last respect to another founding member, the late Femi Kehinde, who recently went to be with the Lord.
Also at the meeting, appointment of key officers for effective running of the group shall be made, while the group would also discuss its financial issues among other businesses.
“It must be recalled that since after our last meeting in February, there had been no other meeting due to some unforeseen developments. In view of this, for the sake of our collective responsibility, we are appealing for our co-operations and understandings, not to take our responsibilities and vocation for granted; despise our callings little beginning and draw back our hands from the plough,” Akintayo said.
He also added that, “with our unique callings and mandatory purpose, we have gone too far in a long way to pull back from walking and working to achieve our collective set goals. Let us therefore, together run the race ahead of us, in unity, fellowship and networking to sharpen one another, develop our present state of standing status and finish strong with good success, testimonies and legacies.”
