This week in Nigeria
Last week began on a victory note on Sunday, when some fighters of the Boko Haram terrorist group, surrendered to the Nigerian military. This came after a series of bombardments on the sect’s stronghold.
On Monday, President Muhammadu Buhari, left Nigeria for France on a three day working visit. He met with the French government on several issues. On Wednesday, in one of his meetings, he disclosed that the Federal Government already started negotiations with the Boko Haram terrorists.
The President on Wednesday, returned to Nigeria after the working visit. Same day, fire gutted a shopping plaza on Lagos Island, destroying textile materials and fashion accessories estimated at several millions of naira.
