Nigerians have called on relevant authorities to look into the incessant activities of vandals operating unfettered.
The call is coming on the heels of the death of two officials of the Department of State Security Service (DSS), who lost their lives on Thursday around Ikorodu, Lagos State.
The duo were killed by oil vandals who ambushed the operatives around the Owutu area of Ikorodu, a Lagos suburb.
Reports had it that the hoodlums who have been vandalising oil installations in the area, attacked, kill the two officials and fled the scene of the incident with corpses of the victims.
The men were said to be on their way to attend the funeral of a late colleague residing in the area. The vandals may have thought that the DSS officials were trailing them for possible arrest, however, a gun battle began, leading to the death of the two officials.
